The documentary short film Cassava follows two farmers in Bugesera, Rwanda. The female protagonist prepares a daily meal, revealing the region’s culinary customs and the growing challenges of farming in a changing climate.

The documentary short film Chicken follows two women in Bugesera, Rwanda, as they cook for their village. One of them grew up an orphan after the 1994 genocide. Their cooking together is an act of resistance: through food they remember, feed and create community.

The documentary short film Chapati takes place in Abdoul’s Canteen on the outskirts of Kigali, Rwanda, which not only offers the best chapati in town but is also a place of kinship for the neighbourhood.
